This Nov. 11, Lafayette will celebrate Veteran’s Day with a traditional lantern parade along with the Blue Monday Concert Series! Presented by Upper Lafayette Economic Development Foundation, and in partnership with Theatre Acadie, we will honor the veterans of Acadiana with a night to remember.

Beginning at 5:30 p.m., there will be FREE hot dogs for children and a FREE lantern-making activity for children utilizing recycled materials. At 6:30 p.m, a parade of guests, veterans and children will march through Downtown Lafayette, led by the Veteran Grand Marshall of the Lantern Parade (see below on how to nominate).

Once the parade enters Rock 'n’ Bowl de Lafayette, we will have a ceremony to celebrate veterans, followed by music from Jourdan Thibodeaux, Cedric Watson, and the Blue Monday House Band.

$20 entry and Blue Plate Special (veterans enter and eat FREE)

2 Navy Vets Foundation will join us to make lanterns. We will have a donation station ready to accept donations to help this marvelous organization to continue to help veterans and people of Lafayette. See more information or donate directly HERE.
