Employees from Home Bank made a special delivery Monday morning to 10 teachers at Northside High.
The bank bought school supplies for the teachers through The Daily Advertiser's Adopt-A-Teacher program. The supplies included pencils, binders, notebooks, paper, pens, tissue, paper towels, markers and more.
Home Bank also adopted nine teachers from Crowley. Those deliveries will be made Tuesday.
So far this year, 513 Acadiana teachers have had supplies donated through Adopt-A-Teacher. Another 613 teachers have not been adopted thus far.
Through the program, teachers submit a wish list of items they would like to have for their classroom. Donors may choose one or more teachers to adopt, meaning they agree to fulfill as much of the teacher's wish list as possible.
