The store employs more than 300 people and is open 24 hours a day. Featuring Walmart’s pickup service, the chain provides shoppers a way to order online and pickup their wares at the store.

Store Manager Christy Picard is well known in the community, having served on the management team at Walmart’s Broussard location. At the opening presentation, a focus on safety of its customers and vivacious team spirit were evidenced by all of the Walmart associates under her wing.

Festivities at the grand opening included a ribbon cutting ceremony with local officials, free samples of food and beverages, and an opportunity to meet the management team. A highlight of the morning was the Carencro marching band which provided an invigorating start to the day!

The new Supercenter is located at 3810 NE Evangeline Thruway right off Exit 7 on I-49 in Carencro. Call (337) 520-3013 for more information.
