Jenny Krueger

Jenny Krueger, Executive Director of the Acadiana Symphony & Conservatory of Music

Jenny received her degrees in music performance and music education from the University of Denver, New Mexico State University, and Mannes College of Music in New York.  With more than a decade of experience as a Teaching Artist with various schools (private and public) in New Mexico, Texas, and Virginia, Jenny has worked with pre-school children to post-graduate candidates.   Certified in music K-12, Jenny is also a certified Orff and Kindermusic instructor, and is responsible for the development of new music education programs in New Mexico, and Virginia, in facilities that had no current musical programs in place. Currently, at the Acadiana Symphony’s Conservatory of Music, Jenny and staff are developing and piloting music education programs that not only serve the underprivileged, but target early childhood literacy through specially developed curriculums.  Jenny currently serves on the Leadership Lafayette Program Committee, Chamber Education Committee, and is a member of the Citizens Advisory Committee of Lafayette.  Alongside Jenny’s commitment to positively impact the future of the youth in her community, Jenny is honored to be working in the extraordinary Acadiana community.

TO ME, LIVING IN ACADIANA MEANS…

I am allowed the opportunity to live in an area where culture isn’t just a buzz word we toss around, it is how we live, and it is who we are.  There is an appreciation for life in Acadiana, and a real desire to stand out in the crowd.  There is also a generosity that runs deeper in this community than I have ever witnessed in any other place that I have lived.  This formula provides the perfect climate for great things to happen.  As a professional musician, as a teacher, and as an executive in the business of the arts, this community gives me the opportunity to think outside of the box, and supports me in the contributions that I want to make to this community.  I can’t think of any better place to be right now, than right here!
