Upper Lafayette Economic Development Foundation has been the driving force behind revitalization of the University Avenue Exit at I-10!  In a collaborative effort with Lafayette City-Parish Consolidated Government, the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, Louisiana Department of Transportation, Robert Dafford Murals, and surrounding business owners such as Mike Roberts of Honda of Lafayette, great things are underway at this Gateway into our University town.

Apache Corporation has generously granted 400 red and white crepe myrtles to beautify the exit.  Professor Jim Foret, UL of Lafayette, has tirelessly given his time and expertise to ensure that the project proceeds smoothly. And McDonald's of Acadiana and Stone Energy have volunteered to plant the trees!  Special thanks to all who have contributed to this worthy endeavor.  It's another example of Upper Lafayette, On the Move!

ULEDF's project at I-10 and University Ave. has received a second state grant to paint another UL Logo/mural at the southeast corner of the intersection. Robert Daffor, mural artist, is the creative talent behind this effort to revitalize the area.
